As part of its ongoing efforts to support the community and promote psychological awareness, a team from the University Counseling Center at the University of Basra visited the State Orphanage.

The team began its visit by learning about the problems and pressures faced by the caregivers at the orphanage and also inquired about the children's well-being and needs.

A lecture entitled "Self-Development and Increasing Self-Confidence" was delivered, aiming to enhance the children's ability to adapt to life and improve their self-concept.

At the end of the visit, gifts were distributed to the children to bring joy and happiness to their hearts and reinforce their sense of appreciation and care.

This visit comes within the framework of the University of Basra's role in promoting social responsibility and supporting vulnerable groups, and reflects the university's commitment to promoting psychological and social awareness in the community.
